The cottage and garden are designed to take full advantage of the magnificent scenery, and being only minutes from the ferry terminal at Armadale makes it readily accessible, which is a real bonus after a long journey.
Skye is a jewel in Scotland’s crown. Immortalized by tales of Flora MacDonald helping Bonnie Prince Charlie flee ‘over the sea to Skye’ after the defeat of the Jacobites at Culloden.
The scenery is breathtaking, with two Cuillin mountain ranges stretching across the island. The climbs ranging from gentle Corbetts to challenging Munros, which makes for paradise for walkers and climbing enthusiasts.
For those wishing to soak up the scenery and wildlife in a slightly less energetic way, there are several boat trips from fishing trips to sailing to the now uninhabited island of St Kilda.
This just touches on the numerous attractions of Skye.
The cottage is thoroughly modern and designed to maximise the fabulous views with full length windows and patio doors. The accommodation is all on one level, with open plan kitchen and living area. The underfloor heating and woodburning stove make the cottage cosy and welcoming. It is equipped to a very high standard with Smeg, Bosch, Miele and Neff appliances. The bedrooms and living area all have views over the garden to the sea and mountains beyond.
